Teaching Times

School has been going quite well. I would still consider it my area of greatest cultural adaptation, but it is also very rewarding. Many of my students attend my church as well, and they will often run up to me before and after services to greet me and say hello in English. Though they are sometimes hard to manage in a classroom setting (hey, 33 first graders are a tough crowd for anyone to handle), they are such precious children. One area of great rejoicing is that the school was just approved to receive financial assistance from the government, something that the faculty and staff have been praying for for several years. It is amazing to see how God is blessing the school and truly supplying all the needs for both the students and the staff. He is a Faithful God!!! Below is a picture of the fourth grade class from a day when we were learning about the names of clothes in English. Yes, those are my clothes that she’s wearing…hey, extreme teaching techniques are a must in some situations and can really make class a lot of fun. :D
